About

Founded in 1991 and formerly known as African Awareness Now (AAN), Wellesley African Students’ Association (WASA) is a Cultural Organization in Wellesley College, (Wellesley, MA, U.S.A) which seeks to increase interest in and an awareness of issues pertaining to Africa and Africans in the Diaspora.

WASA regularly puts up and hosts lectures, cultural events and panel discussions relating to African affairs, and we encourage members of the Wellesley College community, and the general public, particularly in the Greater Boston area, to attend these very informative, educative and entertaining events.

WASA has bi-weekly meetings in both Harambee House and the Slater International Center, and is open (open membership & meetings) to all members of the Wellesley College community.
